Chicago and the suburbs are one wedding market with very different venues: a downtown ballroom, a lakefront hotel, a banquet hall, a forest preserve or a backyard. The planning is the same wherever you are, and we work out the light, the schedule and the backup plan for your specific place.
The Chicago metro, meaning the city and the surrounding Cook County suburbs and collar counties, is covered with no travel charge. If you are not sure whether your venue counts, ask when you check your date and we will tell you plainly.

Where do you shoot weddings?
We are based in Chicago and cover all of Chicagoland, and we travel anywhere in the country for weddings and destination weddings.
Is there a travel fee for the suburbs?
Travel within the Chicago metro is included. Travel beyond it is +$150 plus any flights or lodging, quoted up front. If you are not sure whether your venue is inside the metro, ask when you check your date.
Have you worked at our venue?
Ask us when you check your date. If we have not shot there before, we scout it ahead of your day so we know the light and the backup spots.

How far ahead should we book?
Most couples book 10 to 12 months out, and peak Saturdays from May through October go first. Fridays, Sundays and winter dates often have openings closer in.
What happens if it rains?
We plan for it. We scout covered and indoor spots ahead of time, carry lighting, and some of the most memorable portraits happen under an umbrella.
